3 DAY NEW ZEALAND INTER-ISLAND CAPER

DAY 1. CHRISTCHURCH TO WELLINGTON (D)
Today we depart Christchurch and travel north to Kaikoura a renowned whale watching area. Following the rugged mountains and Pacific Ocean we journey to Picton. Here we board the Inter-island ferry for our cruise across Cook Strait, renowned as one of the most beautiful crossings in the world. Sail through the breathtaking scenery of Marlborough Sounds and into Wellington Harbour.

DAY 2. WELLINGTON, TAUPO (BD)
Leaving Wellington this morning we cross the Rimutaka Ranges into the farming district of the Wairarapa. Stop briefly at Mount Bruce Wildlife Centre before continuing to the coastal township of Napier. There is time to explore this unique ‘Art Deco’ city which represents the most complete and significant group of Art Deco buildings in the world. This afternoon continue to Lake Taupo, the water filled crater of an ancient volcano.

DAY 3. TAUPO, AUCKLAND (B)
This morning we visit Waiotapu Wonderland, a geothermal area renowned for its beautiful thermal activity and mystical quality. Continue to ‘Kiwifruit Country’ and enjoy a guided tour of the orchard on the unique ‘Kiwi karts’. This afternoon continue to the popular holiday beach resort of Mount Maunganui and to the port City of Tauranga. Journey north to the lush farm land of the Waikato Province to arrive in Auckland "City of Sails". Your tour concludes on arrival and we will transfer you to the airport for your onward flight.
