Day 1 Arrive Christchurch
On arrival you will met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Christchurch, Franz Josef
Depart from the Crowne Plaza Hotel and travel to the Christchurch Railway Station to board
the award-winning TranzAlpine train for a spectacular journey. Join our coach at Greymouth
and continue to Hokitika to see native Pounamu (Jade) being carved into stunning
jewellery. Continue along the rugged West Coast and enter the World Heritage-listed area
of Te Wahipounamu, South West New Zealand. Nestled beside native rainforest, view the
magnificent glacier of Franz Josef (weather permitting). There may be an opportunity to
enjoy a scenic flight over this incredible region (own expense).

Day 3 Franz Josef, Wanaka
We view incredible scenery today as we travel past untouched native forest, across Haast
Pass, and over the magnificent Southern Alps. Follow the shoreline of Lakes Wanaka and
Hawea to arrive in Wanaka.

Day 4 Wanaka, Queenstown
Depart Wanaka this morning and journey to the delightful village of Arrowtown a historic
gold rush settlement. Continue to Queenstown, situated on the banks of beautiful Lake
Wakatipu.

Day 5 Queenstown, Personalised Sightseeing (BD)
Today you choose the activity and we wil include it! Perhaps a Queenstown Double Decker
bus tour, join a Lord of the Rings safari, an exhilarating jetboat ride or a relaxing
garden tour. Tonight you choose from 15 diverse restaurants and we will include it!
Day 6 Milford Sound, Te Anau
This morning travel through Fiordland National Park where lush rainforests meed
snow-capped mountains. On arrival into Milford we cruise the full length of this beautiful
fiord, travelling below famous mile-high Mitre Peak and beneath spectacular waterfalls.
This afternoon we have a relaxing drive returning through Eglinton Valley and Homer Tunnel
to the pretty lakeside settlement of Te Anau.

Day 7 Te Anau, Dunedin, Personalised Sightseeing
Today we journey to the southern-most coast of New Zealand to the township of Riverton and
view the process of turning Paua shell into stunning jewellery. Continue to Dunedin which
was first settled by Scottish pioneers in 1848, and is known as the 'Edinburgh of the
South'. This afternoon you choose the activity and we will include it. Perhaps visit
Olveston House or take a tour of Cadbury Chocolate World. The choice is yours!

Day 8 Dunedin, Mt Cook
View the unique and fascinating Moeraki Beach boulders, then continue to Oamaru, a town
renowned for its distinctive limestone architecture. Journey to Mt Cook National Park, a
World Heritage-listed area and home to Australasia's highest mountain, Mt Cook. You may
wish to take an optional scenic flight over this alpine region (weather permitting, own
expense).

Day 9 Mt Cook, Christchurch
Today we visit Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd. Travel across the
patchwork farmlands of the Canterbury Plains. Continue to Christchurch, the 'Garden City'
where your tour concludes on arrival and a departure transfer to the airport is included.
