Insurance and Bond Waiver

Hire period

The minimum hire period for this type of campervans is 7 days. Hire commences from the day of pick up to the day of drop off. Hire charges are based on a daily cost calculated from day of pick up as day one to drop off as the last day.

Unlimited Travel

All of our daily rental rates are on an unlimited kilometer basis. 

Camping Parks

There are more than 300 fully equipped camping parks spread around New Zealand. Booking is not normally necessary except during the peak holiday periods (December to January).

Fuel

2 berth campervans are petrol, 4 berth motorhomes are Diesel.

Rules

In New Zealand we drive on the left side of the road and give way to traffic from the right. Speed limits are strictly enforced: 50 kilometers per hour in urban areas and 100 kilometers per hour on the highways. Distances are measured in kilometers.

Driver's License

A standard car license is all that is required to drive a motor home in New Zealand. All drivers must present a current New Zealand, International, or acceptable overseas license at commencement of hire, Hirers and drivers must be over 21 years of age. 

BOND

All hirers are subject to a bond of NZ$1500.00 including GST which is payable at the commencement of the hire. The bond is FULLY REFUNDABLE providing the vehicle has not been in an accident or damaged in any way and is clean and tidy, waste tanks emptied and the fuel tank is full upon return. No refunds can be given for any unused portion of your holiday. Please enquire for driver less than 25 years old. Traffic Infrigments are the resposibilty of the driver / hirer and can be deducted from the bond.

4 BERTH MOTORHOMES INSURANCE

A compulsory insurance charge of NZ$10.00 per day covers your hire vehicle for windscreen breakage and third party property and public liability insurance The hirer is liable to pay a bond which is compulsory in the event of an accident or damage done to the vehicle. PLEASE NOTE you are advised to arrange your own insurance to cover your own personal possessions (not covered in this insurance).

Payment

Full payment for the balance of the hire charges must be made 30 days prior to commencement of hire unless otherwise authorised by the operator .

Equipment

Each campervan includes the following equipment: crockery, cutlery, cooking utensils, pots, frying pan, grater, chopping board, salad/serving bowl, storage containers, toaster, kettle, bucket, shovel, broom, sleeping bags or duvet, blankets, pillows, sheets, towels, teatowels, LPG gas bottle etc; all you'll ever need.

Travel Information Pack

Each camper features a travel information pack which includes details on camping grounds, maps, sightseeing brochures and general information.

Liability

In the event of any unforseen circumstances or breakdowns, the operator can only be liable for the amount of your daily hire.

Pickup Locations

Pickup and drop off locations are Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington & Christchurch. Other locations by arrangement.
