TRAFFIC FINES
If you incur a fine or fines for breaking any Traffic Law that is not settled
in full before you return your campervan or motorhome, we reserve the right to charge
your credit card for any costs levied plus an administration cost of NZ$35.00 per
incident.
REPAIRS OR BREAKDOWNS
In the unlikely event of a mechanical breakdown or problem occurring during your
hire, you are authorised to effect repairs up to a maximum of NZ$100.00 without
having to contact us. You must produce a receipt on the return of your vehicle to
get a refund. For any amounts in excess of NZ$100.00, you must contact us for authorisation
prior to the repairs being carried out. No responsibility for accommodation, meals
or other expenses resulting from a breakdown or accident will be accepted. Any problems
that occur with the vehicle or its equipment must be reported to us as soon as possible
to give us the opportunity to rectify any such problem during the rental. We will
not be held liable for any claims for costs or delays resulting from any problem
not notified to us during the term of the hire.
All of our vehicles are supplied with a 24 hour ,7 day per week roadside assistance programme
AVAILABILTY AND SUBSTITUTION OF VEHICLE
If for any reason beyond our control, the reserved vehicle is not available, we
reserve the right to substitute a comparable or better standard vehicle at no extra
cost to the hirer. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle
the hirer to a refund of any description. In the event that an alternative vehicle
is not available, our liability is limited to a refund of all payments made for
total hire days lost only.
PETS OR ANIMALS
Because of Safety and Health Regulations, Animals or Pets are not permitted in our
motor homes at any time.
PAYMENTS AND DEPOSIT
To secure a confirmed booking, a deposit of NZ$300.00 is required. Unless prior
arrangements are made, the balance of any hire costs will be due to be paid 30 days
prior to the hire commencing Payments of the deposit or the balance of hire costs
can be made by Credit Card, Bank Draft or Telegraphic Transfer, Cash, Travellers
Cheques in New Zealand dollars or in the case of a NZ Citizen, by private or company
cheque.
No hire will be deemed to be confirmed until the deposit has been paid and cleared
through our Bank and a confirmation has been sent to the hirer from from the Operator.
Company or personal cheques will not be accepted for the refundable Security Deposit.
CANCELLATION FEES
- 29 days over
The deposit is retained
- 20 to 28 days
20% of monies paid or the deposit(Which ever is the greater)
- 10 to 19 days
40% of the total cost of the booking
- 1 to 9 days
75% of the total cost of the hire
- No Show
100% of the total cost of the hire
PLEASE NOTE: NO REFUNDS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ANY REASON IF YOU RETURN YOUR CAMPERVAN
EARLIER THAN YOUR CONFIRMED DROPOFF DATE.
INSURANCE / SECURITY BOND
A Security Deposit is required when you pickup your vehicle and it can be paid by
either Cash, Travellers Cheques in NZ Dollars or by a Credit Card. This Security
Deposit covers the Insurance Excess(Deductable) if applicable for accident or other
damage damage and a Bond which is refundable at the end of your hire provided the
vehicle is returned on time and undamaged, it has not been involved in an accident
of any sort, it has been refuelled to the level noted at the start of your hire,
and it is in a reasonably clean and tidy condition with all waste and toilet tanks
empty.
There are 3 options available to you for your insurance cover:
- STANDARD INSURANCE COVER...EXCESS/BOND NZ$3000.00(NZ$5000 for drivers 21 to 25 years
of age)
You are covered for damage to the motorhome or third party property but you will
be fully liable for broken or damaged windscreens or windows and any tyre damage
or replacements. Payment of the excess bond can be made by Cash, Travellers
Cheques in NZ Dollars or by a Credit Card at the start of your hire. The excess
bond will only be processed only in the event of an accident, damage caused by the
hirer/s or a third party or if the vehicle is returned in an unsatisfactory condition.
- EXCESS BOND REDUCTION OPTION 1...EXCESS/BOND NZ$1250 (NZ$2500 for drivers 21 to
25 years of age)
An extra payment of NZ$20.00 per day will give you full cover for damage done to
the motorhome or third party damage. You will also be fully covered for broken or
damaged windscreens and tyre replacements.Payment can be made by Cash, Travellers
Cheques in NZ Dollars or by a Credit Card. The payment will only be processed in
the event of an accident, damage caused by the hirer/s or a third party or if the
vehicle is returned in an unsatisfactory condition.
- EXCESS REDUCTION OPTION 2: An extra payment of NZ$35 per day will give you full
cover for damage to the motorhome or third party property WITH A ZERO EXCESS APPLICABLE.
You will also be fully covered for broken and damaged windscreens and replacement
tyres. We will also supply one camping table per hire and a camping chair for each
person travelling free of charge. You will need to leave us a refundable bond of
NZ$200 at the start of your hire.
PLEASE NOTE:
- Damage due to immersion in water either Salt or Fresh is not covered by the above
options
- The Insurance Protection will be voided if the vehicle is driven by an unauthorised
or underage driver.
DEPOTS AND HOURS
Our depots are conveniently situated in Auckland or Christchurch so that you can
start or end your hire in either location and we are open from 8.30am to 5.00pm
weekdays and from 8.30am to 1.00pm Saturdays and Sundays. Times outside of these
hours can be arranged by prior negotiation only. WE ARE NOT OPEN ON DECEMBER 25TH,
CHRISTMAS DAY.
LIVING EQUIPMENT
All our vehicles come equipped with cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils, duvet/sheets
or sleeping bags/liners, pillows, blankets and towels and they are included in the
daily rental price at no extra cost.
GETTING FAMILIAR AND INSTRUCTIONS
We will explain all the workings of the motor home to you when you pick it up. We
can also help you with your first night camping arrangements and with suggestions
for your holiday in New Zealand.
RATES
All rates quoted are in New Zealand Dollars and include the New Zealand Goods and
Service Tax (GST) at 12.5% and our Standard Insurance cover. Rates are subject to
change without notice
AIRPORT/HOTEL/MOTEL TRANSFER
A complimentary transfer from the Airport or your Hotel/Motel to our depot in either
Auckland or Christchurch is available at the start of your hire. To arrange
this service, please let us know your arrival flight details or the name of your
hotel/motel at the time you make your motor home booking and we will arrange for
our shuttle to pick you up and bring you to our depot. We can also arrange for a
transfer at the end of your hire which will be at your cost
