TERMS & CONDITIONS
COST OF HIRE
All costs of hire are calculated per calendar day irrespective of what time the vehicle
is collected. Business hours are Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm, Saturday and
Sunday or Public Holidays from 9am to 3.00pm for pick-ups and drop-offs unless otherwise
agreed. A deposit of 10% of the total rental charge is required to secure a reservation.
The balance has to be paid 30 days prior to the commencement of hire to secure and confirm
the reserved vehicle. Amendment fees of $50.00 each apply for all confirmed bookings. Late
returns: for each additional hour, one fifth of the daily rate is charged up to 5 hours;
thereafter a full day is charged.
Hire rates include: airport/hotel transfers on pick-up and drop-off within a 20 km
range, unlimited kilometers while traveling, nationwide 24h/7d on road assistance by NZ
Automobile Association (AA), complete living equipment including outside table/chairs,
hiking tent, maps, service/freephone helpline, cleaning fee, extra driver charge, one way
rental fee between our depots, diesel tax and full tanks (fuel, gas, water). Prices are
subject to change without notice.
DRIVER'S LICENCE
A valid domestic or international driver's license has to be produced on commencement
of rental. Hirers must be 18 years of age or over.
SUPPLIED IN YOUR CAMPERVAN
The following equipment is provided with each campervan; plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery,
bottle/can opener, cooking utensils, mixing bowls, coffee plunger, kettle, frying pan,
saucepan, teapot, electric toaster, glasses, bucket, hose, dustpan, brush, broom, pillows,
pillowcases, sheets, duvet covers, blanket, towels, tea towels, fire extinguisher, first
aid kit, LPG gas bottle, picnic table, picnic chairs, tent, road maps.
UNLIMITED TRAVEL
All Campervans operate on an unlimited kilometre basis. No extra costs arise
irrespective of the number of kilometres you travel.
ONE-WAY HIRES
One-way hires between our depots do not incur an extra charge.
AIRPORT / HOTEL TRANSFERS
We collect all clients from the airport or inner city hotels to our depots.
ON ROAD HELP AND VEHICLE REPAIRS
In the event of mechanical or operational problems assistance will be provided through
AA-approved service agents throughout New Zealand. Repairs need prior approval by the
Operator. No responsibility for accommodation charges, meals or out-of-pocket expenses
resulting from a breakdown will be accepted. Our liability extends only to refund of hire
charges for any days of total loss of vehicles usage caused by a mechanical breakdown but
not by an accident.
ROAD RESTRICTION
Campervans are not covered by insurance if operated on roads specified as unsuitable
for use by campervans. These include Ninety Mile Beach (Northland), Skippers Road
(Queenstown) and North of Colville township (Coromandel), amongst others.
CHANGE OF CAMPERVANS
We reserve the right to substitute a comparable campervan if the reserved vehicle is
not available. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the
hirer to any form of refund.
REFUNDS / CANCELLATIONS
No refunds will be paid for voluntary downgrade of vehicle or unused hire days. Where
bookings are cancelled within 21 days of pick-up date or if the client does not arrive to
collect the vehicle, no refunds will be paid. Cancellations received more that 21 days
prior to the date of vehicle collection will be refunded in total less a NZ$100
administration fee.
INSURANCE OPTIONS
Rental rates are in New Zealand Dollars (NZ$) and per calendar day. A minimum rental
period of 7 day applies.
Our prices include 12.5% Goods and Services tax (GST).
Hire rates include: unlimited kilometres, nationwide AA road sideassistance,
service/freephone helpline, cleaning fee, extra driver, one way rental fee between our
depots, diesel tax, extensive travel information pack, living equipment, picnic table
& chairs, hiking tent and full tanks (fuel, gas, water).
BASIC COVER INSURANCE
$16 per day, excess $1500 for 2- and 2+1-berth campervans and motorhomes and $2500 for
4-berth motorhomes.
PARTIAL COVER INSURANCE (10+ days only)
$28 per day, excess $ 500 for 2- and 2+1-berth campervans and motorhomes and $ 900 for
4-berth motorhomes.
FULL COVER INSURANCE (10+ days only)
$38 per day, nil excess.
FUEL / EQUIPMENT BOND
$300 with all insurance types. |
